There are at least two ways of downloading epub and mobi file to your mobile viewer from this Library. One is only for those whose viewer is connected to a wireless network: open the appropriate Library for your device, find the file wanted via an author search, click on the name of the eBook to download the file directly to the mobile viewer's document file. This is slow, and because of the difficulty of navigating the web on most mobile viewers, it is much easier to take the Second path: Open the appropriate Library for your mobile device on your desktop or laptop computer. Find the files you want. Click on them and they will download to the directory you have assigned for downloads of all kinds. Connect your mobile device to your computer via a USB port. Your device then appears on your computer as an additional hard disk; you will see several directories. Select the files you want to move from the download directory of your computer to your viewer and drag-and-drop them into the docmument directory of the viewer you use for eBooks.
There are a few peculiarities in downloading mobile viewer files.
1. If you do not know if an ebook you want contains images it is best on
the first try to select it from the "WITHOUT IMAGES" link. This will
work with mobile ebooks with or without images, but of course images
will not show. If on doing this the ebook displays a "List of
Illustrations", or if you just suspect that there are some, go to the
box below and select the link to "WITH IMAGES" for your device.
THEREFORE, IF UNSURE, CLICK ON THE "WITHOUT IMAGES" BOX FIRST, locate
the file you want and click on it.
If you are in the "With
Images" catalog and a file you want will not open or gives an error
message (usually 404), go to the box below and select the link to
"WITHOUT IMAGES", and try again.
If the error message 404 "No
File Found" displays after you have tried to open the file in the
"WITHOUT IMAGES" catalog then the file you are looking is not available
in a mobile viewer format.
2. A very few ebooks in the catalog contain external links to sections of other PG ebooks. These files will load into your mobile viewer but the links will not work in most viewers such as Kindles. The links will work if you are using a SmartPhone or Ipad. If you wish to use the hyperlinks you will have to open the file in any computer, SmartPhone or Ipad.
3. There are also a few links in the catalog for downloading text files, and zipped files, again mobile viewers do not yet have this capability. If you try to download one of these you will get the "404" error message.

Clicking on an author's name below will download to your hard disk a zipped folder containing a complete set of all the eBooks of that author listed in the index; the index included with the set will link off-line to all the downloaded files, volumes, books, chapters, stories and illustrations in each set. This collection also includes complete sets of .mobi and .epub files for mobile viewers.

Follow these instructions if you would like to have your own copy of any of the volumes designated for download of a complete set, on your hard disk. Doing so will allow the accompanying index to be used with all the many links to the volumes and chapters when you are not connected to the internet:
1. Click on the DOWNLOAD button at the top of any of the sets to download the zipped file package to whatever download directory you have set up for your computer.
3. Go to your Download Directory and double-click on the downloaded file (for example 12345-h.zip), and move the directory 12345-h to this or any other directory you would like. Then double-click on 12345-h; you will see several directories: you may rename the directory named files to any name you wish, for example, TWAIN. You may move this file to any directory on your computer.
4. In the newly named directory containing all the eBooks in this set you will find a shortcut named INDEX in capital letters, this shortcut can be used here or copied to your desktop or any directory on your computer. This index file allows you to open all of the OFF-LINE files, chapters and illustrations in this set now on your hard disk. The name INDEX may of course be renamed as you wish, for example: TWAIN INDEX.
When using the index or any of the files you may use the BACK button to
return from any link.
