Graves affected by the widening of St Johns Avenue in 1931

In 1931, widening of St. Johns Avenue, adjacent to the cemetery, affected a number of graves. There were a number of re-interments, together with relocation of the respective headstones, where present. A number of graves, without headstone, remained where they were and can no longer be identified. At the same time, two additional rows, W and P, were made available from church land for extra burials. Click link (above) for a plan of the present layout of the cemetery.
